What to Expect

The coordinators will reserve a campsite for each family.  Each park or campground has different rules about the number of occupants, tents, and vehicles per site.  Feel free to check the campground policies if you have any questions.

Each family provides all of their own camping equipment, food, etc.

During the weekend, we relax a lot and the kids enjoy playing with each other.  We generally have a campfire together in the evenings.

You are free to plan your own activities or join up with the group or part of the group.  It varies depending on what fun things are available at each location.  Whenever possible, we try to camp on a "loop" in the campground.  Many of the kids enjoy riding scooters around the loop.  They also like to play all kinds of ball and yard games.

We have a potluck together on Saturday evening.  Each family brings two dishes to pass (simple food that is easy to prepare) and their own table service & drinks.  On Sunday mornings, we gather for a devotional service.

The coordinators send a letter about a week prior to each camping trip with all the pertinent details, including campsite number.
